Opportunity

Interflora were spending significant time designing and improving the product selection elements of their web service but not realising the improvements due to ‘drop-out’ through the final purchasing process. The old step-by-step approach required the user to complete 9 different web pages to complete a single order.

Action

We proposed a ‘one-screen’ solution built in flash to walk the user through the entire final purchasing process. Although the process is longer than most web sites (alternate delivery addresses and personal messages for flowers) the use of ‘finishing touches’ to sell additional products was a huge success

Performance

The service was a significant investment for Interflora at the time, but ultimately resulted in achieving 8 times the initial ROI in year 1 alone.
